Western Roots

Like all the best stories, the story of how DRGN came about started after a night out. In 1999, our founder, Vishal, was a wide eyed graduate being taken for a meal out in Nobu, on London’s Park Lane. As a vegetarian, this famously fish-oriented restaurant felt daunting for obvious reasons. But despite a few mishaps with chopsticks, Vishal never looked back from this early insight into a new and exciting Asian fusion dining scene.

Back in those days, pretty much most Asian inspired food was only available from the local takeaway. But it was around this time, that food influenced by Asian and Far Eastern cuisines started becoming mainstream and more upmarket…but above all, tastier and healthier. Nobu, and the likes of Hakkasan, were where the celebs and cool kids hung out, and Vishal knew he wanted to be part of it.

Eastern Discovery

A chance opportunity took him from London to Hong Kong in 2007, where he lived for eight years, regularly taking in the sights, sounds and flavours of this region. From Tokyo to Thailand this glitzy hospitality scene was taking off, sparking the idea to create a modern, healthy brand to capture this vibe.

It was here, influenced by this vibrant Far Eastern culture, and inspired by a “work hard, play hard” attitude that the concept of DRGN was born in 2012. It happened to also be the Year of the Dragon – the most auspicious and powerful symbol in the zodiac in Far Eastern cultures. Most importantly, it was the year that Vishal’s twins, affectionately known as the Dragon Babies, were also born.

A Fusion of Wellness

Wanting to capture the essence of modern Asia, together with the traditional Asian values and Western healthy living, DRGN drink is a definite fusion of East meets West.

Caffeine free, low in sugar and made from smart ingredients such as Austrian spring water, ‘superfoods’ and vitamins, DRGN sits perfectly in busy but health conscious lifestyles.

This Superdrink is functional, gives a natural energy boost, supports the immune system and effectively refreshes and hydrates due to its water and electrolyte content. With a floral, slightly citrus taste with a gentle fizz, enjoy DRGN any time of day.
